In April, West Coast Challengers tied its monthly record for new club membership applications. The previous record, set back in October 2011, saw club membership rise some 30% overall. Now the club has shattered that record twice in just the past 60 days.

“How great is that?” said Larry Corbett, the club’s President, “If breaking the record in February wasn’t reason enough to throw a party, matching that record again in April sure is!”

This latest influx of new members brings to the club many great Challengers, including the club’s first Blackberry Pearl color, a Green With Envy Challenger with white side stripes, a Plum Crazy SRT with custom stripes as well as another supercharged Challenger, all fine cars which leads to the diversity of our club cars and helps to fill out what even Ralph Gilles, President of the SRT division of Chrysler, took notice of at Spring Fest 7 — our “Skittles” colors — so nicknamed by those commenting on the picture below after it was posted on the official Dodge Challenger Facebook page and went viral.

West Coast Challengers -- "The Ghost Run" -- Calico Ghost Town Cruise and Road Rally Event

In March, when we said there doesn’t appear to be any signs of interest in the club letting up, some may have taken that as just a boast. To the contrary, interest in the club is the strongest now than it ever has been in the past. And while other clubs have mistakenly tried to lay claim to the title of being “The World’s Largest Challenger Club,” that title has long been owned by West Coast Challengers.

Club membership has always risen a good 10% month after month, and once again, there are no signs of waning interest in the club. As we stated back in March, having fun and unique events like our recent cruise and road rally event to Calico Ghost Town and our Car Detailing Seminar attracts many prospective members, but it is our members who make the club the great success that it is. And while some clubs have recently tried to “re-invent” themselves in our image in the hopes of sharing our success, they cannot clone our members who are the heart of our club — and that’s what makes West Coast Challengers the best Dodge Challenger club out there, bar none.

As our website has said since day one, if you want something better in a car club, something better for your community, for your family and for yourself; somewhere fellow Challenger owners and car enthusiasts alike can share ideas, express opinions, support our communities and charitable organizations, while at the same time acting as a role model for others and having fun doing it, then we encourage you to check out our website for more information and chat with some of our club members and ask them why they enjoy being a club member.
